2022
1st EU Ecolabel certifications
We have been awarded with EU Ecolabel certifications for our PREMIUM PLUS and PROFESSIONAL whiteboards. This makes us the first brand in the world that complies with the defined EU Ecolabel criteria for whiteboards.
2020
FSC® and PEFC certifications
Legamaster is now FSC® and PEFC certified, which reflects our environmental engagement and makes it easier for our customers to instantly recognize products that contain wood-based materials from responsibly managed forests.
2019
¡Hola Latin America!
A new subsidiary is opened for the Latin America market in order to meet the increasing local demand for interactive solutions.
2019
New production site
A new production site is opened at the HQ in Lochem for our (custom-printed) whiteboards. This enables our R&D department to easily test and experiment during the development phase and to meet the increasing demand for smaller batches of custom-printed whiteboards.
2016
Hallo & bonjour Benelux-France region!
To enable greater focus on the different local markets and varying customer requirements, Legamaster opens new subsidiaries for the Dutch, French, Belgian and Luxembourg markets.

ISO 9001 & 14001 certifications
We have successfully applied for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, which help us to continuously provide the highest quality while lowering our environmental footprint through an integrated management system.

Interactive collaboration solutions
Interactive collaboration solutions for schools and businesses are added to our portfolio to optimally support our customers in adopting digital tools and new working methods in their professional lives.

Guten Tag DACH region!
To further develop the DACH market and provide the best service for our customers, Legamaster opens a new subsidiary for the DACH market located in Ahrensburg. Today, the German office is located in Bargteheide.
2002
New (iconic) products
Legamaster brings a wide range of (iconic) products to the market. The first ones are the Flipchart PURE, Magic-Chart, a self-adhesive foil, and the Legaline rail system. It was also the year of the introduction of eBeam and the first digital whiteboards, which contributed to the end of the "chalk era" and the start of the digital age in classrooms.
1998-1999
Legamaster is born!
The edding Group acquires LEGA Industrie B.V. and merges the activities with planMASTER.
Out of the merger, the Legamaster brand is born, offering a wide portfolio of analogue collaboration tools such as whiteboards, flipcharts and workshop boards.
1984
New headquarter
LEGA Industrie B.V. moves to the new headquarter in Lochem in the east of the Netherlands. This will remain Legamaster's headquarter until this day.
1965
planMASTER is introduced
edding introduces the brand planMASTER in the German market. After discovering a new type of erasable ink in Japan, the edding founders Mr. Edding and Mr. Ledermann see this as an opportunity to extend the existing business by also offering whiteboards, magnetic boards, flipcharts and pinboards.
1956
Founded in Amsterdam
LEGA Industrie B.V. is founded in Amsterdam. The company starts selling whiteboards in the Netherlands.
