Green certifications
Being a responsible partner and truly caring for the environment is part of the Legamaster DNA. As a brand leader, we are fully aware of our environmental responsibility. Additionally, we understand how important Chain of Custody and the right quality systems and certifications are for many of our valued customers. Our long-term environmental engagement is confirmed by the successful certification as being compliant with the standards of:
FSC® and PEFC certification
While the environmental awareness of end consumers and in the industry is constantly growing, it is often difficult to trace the origin of products or to recognise wood-based materials from responsibly managed forests.
To make it easier for our customers and to underline that we care about the entire chain - from the management of the forest to the finished wood product - Legamaster is FSC® and PEFC certified.
The FSC® and PEFC standards for forest certification include economic, ecological and social requirements which ensure the responsible use of forests. This guarantees that the forest-based materials within our certified products come from a sustainably managed forest and controlled sources. Please refer to the individual product specification documents to ensure the product meets your sustainability requirements.
EU Ecolabel
In 2021, we have been awarded with EU Ecolabel certifications for our PREMIUM PLUS and PROFESSIONAL whiteboards. This makes Legamaster the first brand in the world that complies with the defined EU Ecolabel criteria for whiteboards.
Established in 1992, the EU Ecolabel is the official European Union label for environmental excellence that is awarded to products meeting high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction, to production, distribution and disposal. The EU Ecolabel is awarded to sustainably designed products, encouraging innovation, and contributing to the EU goal of climate neutrality by 2050 and to the circular economy.
ISO 14001:2015
Environmental issues have always been embedded in our strategic actions, thinking and plans. We feel responsible to steward the environment and take actions to limit our environmental footprint. That's why we are continuously looking for improvements to make our business more sustainable and improve our environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.
To fully embed this thinking within our organisation, we have successfully applied for a ISO 14001:2015 certification, which basically means that the environmental management system helps us identify, manage, monitor and control our environmental issues in a “holistic” manner.
