Product Manager Electronics

Where are you going to work?

As Product Manager Electronics you will work at the International Marketing department of Legamaster. Legamaster produces, distributes and supplies high-quality visual communication products, from flipcharts and whiteboards to touch screens and software. The organisational structure consists of several subsidiaries and distributors spread across Europe and South America. Legamaster is active in more than 40 countries. You will work at the headquarters in Lochem. Together with a team of ambitious colleagues you will achieve the best results and you will get all the freedom and independence you need to achieve this and develop yourself. Legamaster is a hands-on organization where the Product Manager fulfils an important role.

What are you going to do?

Legamaster has ambitious growth plans, and you will be co-responsible for the realization of it. You will visit trade fairs, suppliers and customers but you will also spend a lot of time with colleagues. In this way you will identify opportunities for the electronics range and together with your colleagues you will develop the roadmap that enables our sales people to score. You work together with suppliers on new products and with marketing colleagues on a successful go-to-market. Ultimately, you are (partly) responsible for the electronics range and its success in the market. That's why you not only make sure that product specifications and price meet the wishes of our customers, but also that all documentation is in place, that our own people are trained and that the entire organisation is ready to achieve success with 'your' products.

Who are you?

You are someone who is ready for a second or third step in his career. You have completed a relevant HBO or WO education, but perhaps even more important is your affinity with electronics and ICT. You are someone who sees a challenge in a rapidly changing world and in an international playing field. You are curious about technological developments, and can form a picture of how you can use them to gain a competitive advantage over the competition. You do not turn your hand to introduce a new product for colleagues or (international) customers. You are proud of the developments you have initiated, and would like to share this with the world. A trade fair visit in the United States, or a technical session with a supplier in China, you are at the right place. You can quickly switch between commercial interests and technical content, and keep up with different cultures and languages. You are someone who always takes that extra step to satisfy internal and external stakeholders and to perform above expectations. That doesn't mean that you don't have to be strong, on the contrary;

you are someone who can handle criticism well and try to learn from it, but you are also someone who is able to explain his own points of view and convince others.
Of course, we don't expect you to already know everything; Product Manager at Legamaster is a broad function in which many different tasks and responsibilities come together. What we do explicitly expect from you is that you are curious and that - when you don't know something - you have the drive to learn it. You are independent, but not afraid to ask colleagues for help. You like to be in the middle of the organization and take responsibility for the ins and outs of Legamaster's Electronics range.
